Incognito 2021 - the big reveal

For the last 3 years I have donated 3 postcard-sized paintings to the Incognito charity sale in Ireland. This year over 3000 pieces of original art were received and all sold by auction in just one day on Friday 23rd April! Sadly none of my bids were successful.

The special twist in this sale is that the buyer does not find out who painted their artwork until after they have purchased it, so I have not been able to share my submissions until now. So ..... drumroll.....here they are!

The sale raised 188,000 Euro to provide 11,000 hours of nursing for very sick children in Ireland. Did you take part?

There are now less that 3 weeks until I open my studio for two weekends during Oxfordshire Artweeks.

Frames have been ordered, paintings varnished, prices reviewed, a card reader purchased and many other tasks completed. More coming in the next blog! Doesn't time fly!

After a brief hiatus from lockdown here in the UK we are back in a second mini lockdown here. Fortunately, SkyTV have brought back their Portrait Artist of the Week program that I took part in back in Spring. I have been participating again and was lucky enough to have my painting of journalist Samira Ahmed featured on the program last week! It's been a great experience and great practice for me. The conversations each week are also very interesting and well worth tuning in for - programs are available on the SkyTV facebook page to watch, and live programs are broadcast each week on Sundays from 10am - 2pm.

I wonder if you can recognise the sitters? So what next? My painting collection is steadily growing and it's time for me to have a clear out to make room for some new ideas that I'm working on. So I am offering my smaller, unframed paintings for sale with free shipping to UK and Ireland from Monday November 30th (Cyber Monday) for one week only.
